Understanding one of the major deterrents to therapy can be the unknown regarding how long the process will last, the below is an attempted to address your concerns. While there is no guarantee, given the uniqueness of each person, we believe that at the beginning of the fourth session we will be able to have a collaborative dialogue around which modality will be the most helpful to you. Below are estimations of what each modality is likely to require for ethical and effective treatment.

Initial Consultation, Intake Assessment, Modality Congruence, and Trauma Narrative will take a minimum of 4 sessions; understanding more time may be necessary. Once you are ready to move into the Evidence Based Practice (EBP) that we have agreed upon - the following is an estimated time line*. 

Eye-Movement, Desensitization, & Reprocessing (EMDR)  ..  approx. 5 to 12 sessions

Trauma Informed Guilt Reduction (TrIGR)  ..  approx. 8 sessions (with homework)

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)  ..  approx. 8 sessions (with homework)

Written Exposure Therapy (WET)  ..  approx. 7 sessions

CBCT for PTSD  ..  approx. 15 sessions

Adaptive Disclosure Therapy  ..  approx. 8 sessions (homework possible)

TFCBT for PTSD  ..  approx. 18 sessions

Gestalt Insight & Processing  ..  approx. 10 to 15 sessions (with homework)

Addiction focused Feeling/EGO-State & trigger reduction  ..  approx. 3 to 7 sessions

*timelines are unique to response, recovery, resilience, and many other factors which are recognized in the moments of treatment. progress will be a continuum and frequently discussed along the journey.
